During the weekend in Bastia Umbria three great fencing days dedicated to the First Open National Qualification competition took place.
At Umbria Fiere pavilions more than 1500 athletes competed among the Italian fencing “A-listers”, all hunting for first qualification points for the 2019 Italian Assoluti Championship, scheduled for next June in Palermo.
Also, our #BressoBoys and our #BressoGirls participated in Epee and Foil.
Among #BressoBoys fantastic performance of Filippo Massone 23rd place, Fabio Barbara 61 and Alberto Arnone 62: all the three qualify directly for the Second Open National Qualification competition, closer to Assoluti 2019. All Epee Men results: Francesco Rossi 90 and cadet Matteo Scazzosi 390.
Below par performance instead of #BressoGirls, despite the good competition of younger cadets Gennari and Scollo, all the positions: Beatrice Ayres 83, Anna Gennari 115, Chiara Massone 121, Marta Castigliola 146, Arianna Scollo 163, Giulia Pasquali 168 and Martina Provolo 173.
In the Foil competition, our Bruno Bisevic reached the 257th place.
Games are not over yet so don’t give up and work harder on the piste!
